States and Actions
A submissions (article) can be in several states before the final decision on it by the editors has been reached. In each of those states, there are actions which editors, authors or reviewers can take to move submission to the next state.
State Editorial Board Draft - when you click on the current state a drop-down menu of available actions shows: 
State Accepted - once accepted, submission can only be published or retracted
State Rejected - once rejected, submission can be retracted and decision changed
